Florida is a no-fault state. Plainly stated, you do not need to have any grounds to file for a divorce in Florida, You only need to acknowledge that the marriage is irretrievably broken.

The only additional requirement is that the person filing the divorce must have been a resident of the state of Florida for the six months preceding the filing of the divorce.
